This Privacy Policy explains how SoComm LLC, doing business as SoComm Marketing ("SoComm", "we", "our", or "us"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit getsocomm.com (the "Site"), contact us, or engage us to manage your advertising. By using the Site or our services, you agree to this Policy.
Contents
1. Who we are
SoComm is a paid advertising management agency based in Salt Lake City, Utah. We plan, build, and manage Google Ads and paid social campaigns for local businesses and e-commerce brands. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@getsocomm.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit our contact or free audit form, or otherwise reach out, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, website, and the contents of your message. If you become a client, we also collect the information needed to deliver and bill for our services, such as billing contact details.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we may collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring source, and general location. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies to understand and improve Site performance.
Client advertising data
When you engage us and grant access, we work inside the advertising and analytics accounts you authorize, such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Meta. This lets us manage your campaigns and report on results. You own these accounts and the data within them at all times.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from the advertising and analytics platforms we manage on your behalf, and from service providers that help us operate, consistent with their terms and this Policy.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the free audit you requested.
- To deliver, manage, and improve the advertising services you hire us for.
- To prepare performance reports tied to your goals.
- To communicate with you about your account, our services, and relevant updates.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to enforce our Terms.
We process this information to perform our services and contracts with you, to pursue our legitimate business interests in operating and improving SoComm, to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required.
4. Google user data and the Google Ads API
Limited use. SoComm uses the Google Ads API to manage and report on advertising for clients who authorize us to access their accounts. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We access this data only to provide reporting and campaign management for that client. We store only what is needed for those purposes, we keep each client's data isolated from other clients, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or transfer it to third parties except as required to provide the service or by law.
Clients grant access through Google's standard OAuth consent and can revoke that access at any time through their Google account settings, which immediately stops our access to their advertising data.
5. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as website hosting, email, analytics, and the advertising platforms (Google and Meta) we manage on your behalf. These providers may process information only for us and under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify affected clients.
6. Cookies and tracking
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or delete them. Disabling cookies may affect some Site features. We honor recognized browser-based opt-out signals where required by law.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to know or access what we hold, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy, and to opt out of sale or sharing (note: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request access to or deletion of their personal information, correction of inaccurate information, and details about the categories we collect, use, and disclose. Because we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still submit requests.
Utah and other states
Residents of Utah and other states with consumer privacy laws may have similar rights to access, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information.
How to exercise your rights
Email hello@getsocomm.com with your request. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to provide our services, and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. We retain client advertising data only for as long as we manage that client's account, plus any period required for reporting or legal purposes.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including limiting access to credentials and client data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data location
We operate in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand your information will be handled in the United States.
11. Children
The Site and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and tools. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
